Imagine yourself as a Dart Board. Everything and everyone else around you may become Dart Pins, at one point or another. These dart pins will destroy your self-esteem and pull you down in ways you won’t even realize or remember. Don’t let them destroy you, or get the best of you. So which dart pins should you avoid?
Dart Pin #1: Negative Work Environment
Beware of “dog eat dog” theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned. When I first started my business on the Internet I was a real NEWBIE! I didn’t even know how to register a Domain name. I had to do a lot of studying to even understand most of the terminology that my sponsor was using. As we gain basic knowledge we sometimes forget that there still are a lot of people that are newbie’s like we once were. Sometimes I didn’t know what questions to ask because everything was so new to me.
I had used Google and was impressed how I could enter a term, and presto, what I was looking for appeared but no one had explained how it worked. The other day a good friend of mine asked: “How do you Google Something?” She is only 40 and uses her computer a lot for her job but didn’t connect to the Internet much. This made me realize there are still a lot of newbie’s out there.
The ONE factor that held me back was the fear I felt when people started talking SEO Optimization. These terms were totally Greek to me. I thought that I would have to go to collage and majored in Computer Science to master this one. Lucky for me Brad Callen wrote a Great eBook entitled SEO Made Easy! Because of Brad’s book I was able to understand how search engines work.
